Come back to the living world
Forest therapy is not a hike. It is an invitation to slow down, open your senses, and let the forest meet you exactly where you are.
What is forest therapy?
Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku — forest bathing — forest therapy is a guided, sensory-based practice of being in relationship with the natural world. Research shows that time in nature lowers cortisol, reduces blood pressure, and supports immune function. But beyond the science, something older is at work: the forest has always known how to hold us. These sessions are not about covering ground. They are about arriving.
Offerings
Solo Forest Therapy Walk
2 hours
A gentle, guided walk through a local forest or natural area. We move slowly, pausing often. I offer a series of invitations — sensory prompts that open you to the world around you. No experience necessary. No destination in mind. Just presence.
Anyone seeking rest, grounding, or a quiet reset from daily life
Reading & Forest Reset
2 hours
We begin indoors with a birth chart reading, exploring who you are at your core and the planetary transits currently moving through your life. Then we step outside together. A guided forest therapy session follows — and woven into the walk is a meditation crafted specifically around your active transits. If Jupiter is expanding your sense of purpose, we breathe into possibility. If Saturn is asking for discipline, we root into the earth. If Chiron is surfacing old wounds, the trees hold space for what needs to be felt. Your chart becomes the map. The forest becomes the medicine.
Those who want to integrate their astrological insights through the body and the natural world
Group Forest Therapy Walk
2 hours
A shared experience for small groups of up to eight people. We walk together in companionable silence, punctuated by gentle invitations and moments of collective reflection. Groups often find that the forest surfaces something they couldn't have reached alone. Ideal for friends, families, or small teams.
Small groups of up to 8 — friends, families, or colleagues
What the research shows
Reduced cortisol
Even 20 minutes in a natural setting measurably lowers stress hormones.
Improved mood
Time in forest environments is linked to reduced anxiety, depression, and rumination.
Immune support
Phytoncides — compounds released by trees — increase natural killer cell activity.
Nervous system reset
The parasympathetic nervous system activates in nature, shifting us from fight-or-flight to rest-and-restore.
What to expect
We meet at the trailhead
Sessions take place in the forests and natural areas in and around Jackson, WY — the Tetons, river paths, and surrounding wilderness. I'll share the exact location when we book. All sessions are also available via Zoom. Wear comfortable layers and shoes you can walk slowly in.
We move at the pace of the forest
This is not a fitness walk. We cover very little ground — sometimes less than a mile in two hours. The pace is intentional. Slowness is the practice.
We close with tea
Every session ends with a simple tea ceremony — a moment to gather what arose, share if you wish, and carry the forest's gifts back with you.
